Say how you think Haringey should spend our money next year
The Commonplace survey asking residents for their ideas about the money Haringey Council has is here with a closure date of 5th January 2025.
In total, there are £18.8m of budget proposals being proposed, with an increase in council tax of 2.99% and an additional 2% increase for Adult Social Care.
Proposals from previous years are included, such as reductions in staffing including senior management and reductions in borrowings, but no views on these are sought.
Review of the Connected Care Service
Haringey Connected Care Service is a 24 hour, 365 days a year emergency service provided by Haringey Council and there are various options as to how the ‘Day Opportunities’ and ‘Connected Communities’ programmes could be delivered.
Housing Related Support services is another area to respond to.
And also how digital technology could improve services, and the impact of having to reduce cultural activities and the need to give discounts to leisure facilities based on low income or additional needs?
For Capital spend
Capital costs can be funded by government grants, other external contributions or by borrowing. Reduction that are proposed include less work on road resurfacing schemes and footway renewal schemes as well as no longer planning to take heat from the Edmonton incinerator for the local heat networks at Broadwater Farm and Wood Green.
